The South & West African Unsung Heroes

Hai guys! Are you okay? I hope you guys will doing just fine. So last post I have introduce to you guys the herous of African America. But now, I would like to introduce you guys to the unsung heroes of South Africa and West Africa. Lets do it!

1. SOUTH AFRICAN MIRIAM MAKEBA

Makeba was kicked out of her country because
of the anti-racial campaign that she make 

Makeba was a South African singer. During her performance, she used her stage presence to speak out against racial segregation in South Africa. 

Makeba even campaigned abroad to stop racial segregation and as a consequence the South African government revoked her passport and kicked her out of the country. Several African countries came to her rescue granting her international passports and nearly 30 years after leaving South Africa she was able to return.

2. WEST AFRICAN MADAME EFUNROYE TINUBU

Tinubu has the symbol of powerful in herself

Tinubu was one of the first women who rise to a position of political power in West Africa. 

She fought again British colonization or today known as Nigeria and against slavery in her region. She was an influential business person during her time and name Iyalode (the title given to the most powerful woman in a town) was given to her as an symbol of power. She was a big proponent of spreading awareness of the type of cruelty happening in slavery in Europe and the Americas to her community.
